IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

We are sorry to announce that the Society is closed. Following Covid we have suffered a decrease in numbers attending our talks and it has also become increasingly difficult to find members who can devote time to running the Society. We are very grateful for the support of the membership and to the speakers who have entertained us over the last twenty five years of the Society’s existence.’

The aims of the Society are, briefly,

  • To promote and encourage the public study of history with particular reference to the local area.
  • To hold lectures and discussions and organise research visits for Society members and interested members of the general public.

We hold eight talks a year in February, March, April, May June, September, October, and November.

We also produce a twice-yearly newsletter for members, usually distributed during our breaks in July and December.

Meetings will take place in the Clarence Hall, Beaufort Street, Crickhowell and commence at 7.30pm.

Entrance fee per Meeting: Members £3, Non-Members £4,

2020 Membership Fee is £7

Students under 18 years of age £4
